Great Kit but dead battery
Great kit until I came to use the 2nd battery, first was perfect. Stuck second in charger and 3 flashing lights ( defective battery). Mailed Amazon and was told to mail Dewalt, Dewalt never answered. Called the hotline , told battery’s not covered and told to contact Amazon. Send Amazon second mail and no reply.
I buy a lot of stuff from here and this is the first problem I have ever experienced but to know that there is absolutely no support for defective items is an eyeopener, now I shop with that in mind. Saving a few bucks with Amazon does not make up for a dead $143 battery.
Update (5/20/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen.

Dead right from the start - Defective with NO SUPPORT!
Bought the large combo kit. The first battery lasted about 10 minutes, and then nothing. The second battery never worked at all. Now give me the two "3 rapid blinking lights," indicating a dead battery. No help from Amazon, and none of Dewalt. I have so much Dewalt equipment, I will not begin to count. But if something happens, it obscures her call me so bad that I seriously doubt that I would ever buy one of their products again. Now I have a $ 1000, that investment, as these batteries … Trash is.

Should had bought way earlier!
No doubt how good this 36V is!
I had to buy a new kit after my 36v drill and circular was stolen from my clients garage. I am so used to this tool for my work and can not work without this now.
I see some of you had a dead battery. and so did I.
IF there is a Dewalt factory shop near by, Just bring them in. I got brand new one with no question asked.
It is hard to believe that there is no support from Dewalt. Just keep calling them and get them replaced by mail.
